Concerts

In Rwanda, there has been no classical chamber music concert culture until now. Through the Goethe-Institut in Kigali, we have given two public concerts during past visits, which were enthusiastically received. One was held at the Serena Hotel and the other at the Theaters Hall of the Goethe-Institut. Concerts are still planned in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut.

We are also planning concerts with students and regular guest teachers from the Music School Kigali.
To raise funds, we play benefit concerts in Europe. In the past years we gave concerts in different communities or associations in Germany and in two places in Switzerland to raise money.

If you are a musician and can organize benefit concerts for this project yourself, it would be a great help!
The next benefit concerts with Martin Helmchen and Marie-Elisabeth Hecker-Helmchen are planned for this year.

Please feel free to  contact» us if you are interested in hosting a concert or if you could suggest a venue for a concert.
